@cindysirinya : My recent talk on the topic of how “Gender Equality and a Respectful Society Starts in the Home” and how important it is for parents to be talking to our kids from an early age about gender, respect and relationships. It’s never too early to start and there’s no better place than at home. Creating a safe space for your child to come to you with any questions or concerns he or she may have at any time is so so important, I cannot stress it enough. If we can provide our children with age-appropriate future generation with the right information through comprehensive sexuality education, they will be equipped with the knowledge, attitudes and skills to make informed and responsible decisions about their lives and relationships in the future AND is another way to safeguard them against sexual assault or harassment. We must reduce the stigma of talking to our kids about natural sexual development and gender issues. I am in the process of writing some children’s books on this topic and am exploring conducting some more workshops for parents in the future.
